Animated Chronicles is a series of 20 illustrations
which become animated in augmented reality,
revealing different aspects of Thomas Pon’s daily life
in Japan. Created like a diary during his artist
residency at the Villa Kujoyama, these animated
notes are presented in exhibitions, illustrating in
a playful and spontaneous manner the different themes
in Japanese life such as spirituality, wandering, work,
or food.
